NEXT BAR NIGHT
WHO WE ARE
A small Independent brewery based in Hobart producing a range of colonial ales, a heritage cider and beer jams. Head brewer, owner and chief bottle washer, Steve Brooks has taken his love of ale and history and combined them to produce small batch specialty ales for Tasmanian drinkers.
We exist to pay homage to Tasmania’s rich brewing history. We brew in one of Tasmania’s oldest brewery buildings.
WHY CHOOSE US
We are an actual brewery, not a contractor. This means we brew regularly for ourselves, our ales are always available, they’re fresh; our facilities are accessible to visit, wholesale customers are able to participate in the brewing process, and we will be here next week and the one after! We are not a venue, so we are not a retail competitor for our customer’s food and beverage clients. There’s a diversity of choice and the advantage of small batch rarity. We can produce ‘something special’ as a one off exclusive release.
We exist to pay homage to Tasmania’s rich brewing history.
WHERE YOU CAN FIND US
We’re located in a heritage building on the corner of Elizabeth and Warwick Streets in Hobart. Brewing first commenced on site in the 1830’s. Hobart is renown for its rich and turbulent history of beer-making, and the presence of Captain Bligh’s Colonial Ale and Cider in the city restores part of the building to its original purpose.
